Become a Tutor

Can you help a child engage with learning and fulfil their potential? Can you develop their communication skills, build their confidence and support them in overcoming adversity?

At the VTO we will support you in providing one-to-one tuition either online or at the child’s home, or in one of our Learning Hubs. We will train you, match you with a young person and provide resources, so that you can support them in achieving their potential. Find out more about Learning Hubs here.

Feedback on our services has shown that one-to-one tuition can markedly improve children’s academic performance, develop their social skills, increase their motivation to do well and grow their self-esteem. The VTO is inclusive and supports children of all ability levels and from all of Glasgow’s communities.

We have a waiting list of children who would like to get help with their learning, so if you have an hour a week to make a positive impact on a child’s life, become a tutor with the VTO! If you want to find out more, check the Information for Prospective Tutors and the FAQ pages. Or, if you would like to speak to a member of the team use the form below to email us. Looking forward to hearing from you!
